Problem. Meet. Solution.

When people are confronted by chronic problems, they tend to give up and lower their expectations.

Other people turn to worry, yet worry by itself creates no benefit in solving your problems.

So what does?

It begins by accepting that if a situation is worth changing, then we are the ones who must change it.

That means rather than talk in circles about our problems or tell our “story of woe” we need to get our ATTITUDE on.

The attitude of I’m going to change this, or as Richard Bandler says – die trying.

That level of tenacity and grit can be a VERY powerful state to put yourself in when facing challenging problems.

Then ask this:

“What is the one thing I can do differently that could make this situation better?”

Begin to do that one thing right away.

You see, we humans come wired to tell the story of our problems. To seek out the confirmation that indeed the problem is "hopeless".

But staying stuck in the problem state for too long, only serves to reaffirm the problem as…

Insolvable.

Pervasive.

Permanent.

It also WIRES us up to respond in the future that same (unhelpful) way.

::: Try This Out Instead:::

Today if you find yourself complaining about something or giving out about a problem…

Interrupt yourself.

Immediately move from the problem side to the solution side of the equation.

Ask and answer:

“What is the one thing I can do differently that could make this situation better?”

Focus your attention and resources on doing that.

Your problems will begin to shift from impossible to solve to it’s possible, and from “it’s possible to it has been sorted.”

And best of all, the process will cause you to grow as a person.

Try it out for yourself.
